On our mind for February

Feb wishlistSo I have a been a little bit slow on the blog-posting front this month due to all the things that life has thrown me (including a new dog) so here is a slightly late wishlist for february. This month there is a stronger focus on essential wardrobe basics, which I can never get enough of. I have not started thinking about my wishlist for spring, so these items are items that I would love to wear and use now.

1. Delicate gold jewelry

I generally do not wear a whole lot of jewelry and often try to steer clear of gold as it can look a bit funny with my tan skin but I totally fell for these beautiful and delicate pieces designed by Lara Melchior for & other stories.

2. The perfect minimal silk camisole

Every girl should have a great black or white camisole in their wardrobe. Looks great paired with jeans, or for a more dressed up look with a black loose-fitted blazer (what I wore for valentines dinner last night). My all time favourite camisole is from Tibi but I have found a beautiful budget option with lace details from Monki (this one looks prettier in real life, I promise).

3. A new scent

I have to admit that I am one of those girls who buys one type of perfume and uses it almost every other day (Chloé by Chloé, in my case). However, I am looking to change it up this month and I am contemplating Rose Noir by Byredo. Byredo also makes beautiful leather perfume cases which I am currently pining for.

4. The perfect black shoulder bag

Although I could probably carry my black tote bag around every day I am still on the quest for the perfect black shoulder bag for evenings and those occasions when you just dont need much with you… This one from COS is my curent favourite.

5. The perfect boyfriend jeans

Since I have been wearing tight fitting black jeans/pants almost every day this winter, I am really longing for a lighter more relaxed option. The best boyfriend jeans, in my opinion are POP from Acne Studios.

6.  Versatile black ankle boots

My acne pistols have seen better days so really need to buy a new pair of black boots. I am particularly picky when it comes to this because black ankle boots are my most worn staple so they have to be both versatile and comfortable. What do you guys think of these boots?

7. Grey cashmere scarf

I am a sucker for a cashmere scarf, so much so that I have probably over-worn my black cashmere scarf this winter. Desperately need this Grey canada scarf from ACNE but they are sold out in this colour!

What is your favourite item? and which items do you think I should get?

Home additions: linen and ladders

Investing in homewares can feel like a neverending job. Although it is difficult (and we are guilty of buying plenty of junk!) proper investment in just a few things will make all the difference to your home/room. Today we are dreaming of these french flax linen sheets and this accessories ladder. Although, not everything has to be expensive, these cushions are currently on sale for $19.95 (may have just purchased 2 of them…) and A Merry Mishap has a great post on a DIY ladder.

I have been a great fan of interior stylist Lotta Agaton, for some some time, and she has worked her magic yet again for the latest string campaign. These pictures just make me feel of a white swedish winter (which has just arrived in Stockholm this weekend!) Hope you are all having a wonderful sunday wherever you are.

The day before Christmas

DSC_1209-2

Sorry that we have not been updating as regularly as we would have liked! We are both taking a bit of a break to spend time with family and do all those last minute christmas things. I ended up making more of those tiny cardboard christmas trees and I am really happy with them! Did any of you end up trying to make these at home?

Anyway, to combat the darkness in Stockholm right now I am burning all my favourite candles, drinking lots of christmas tea from Indiska, and reading a swedish novel today.

Hope you guys are enjoying your holidays and spending time with friends and family.

Interior wishlist

Wishlist Interior 1I thought I would share with you guys some of the things that are on my (interior) wishlist for this christmas! A wardrobe wishlist is coming up soon!

1. Medicine Jar from Granit

A great little jar which can be used as a vase, kept in the bathroom to store cotton pads or vitamins, or just sit on the shelf and look pretty. You can probably find these in second hand shops or flea markets too!

2. Hand Balm from & other stories

Has been on my wishlist for a while but have been trying to use up my other hand lotions first. The texture of the balm is heaven for your hands especially during winter. I am a sucker for packaging too and I absolutely love the simple yet eye-catching packaging as well.

3. Candle stick from Hay

This candle stick from Danish brand – Hay, has only been on my wishlist for ages. I think it will fit perfectly on my dining room table, coffee table or shelf.

4. Rectangular tray table from Hay

I really need a new coffee table as my current one from Ikea has seen better days. Thought I would wait to save up for the perfect one though! This is my current favourite.

5. It’s Not How Good You are, it’s How Good You Want to be Book by Paul Arden

I have to admit I am not one to pick up self-help books but I have heard great stuff about this book and feel like I am in need of an inspiration boost!

6. Graffic print by Playtype

Still in love with typography! I think the “g” print would fit perfectly in my living room.

7. Scissors from Artilleriet

Desperately need a new pair of scissors and these are the most beautiful pair I have ever seen. No need to hide these away in the desk drawer.

8. Waldersten 365 Book by Jesper Waldersten.

A beautiful book packed full of art inspiration and a great decoration piece also.

What is on your wishlist for Christmas this year?
